Summer Guided Hikes

The Skagit Y outdoor team is excited to offer guided hikes across various locations in Skagit Valley for adults, families, and seniors. Connect with other members of our community, spend time in nature, and build lasting friendships with your fellow hikers.

Please note: The Y will not provide transportation to the trailhead; you must get yourself to and from the hike.

  • Adult Hikes: for ages 18-64 years old
  • Child and Guardian Hikes: for families with young ones
  • Open to All: for people of all ages and abilities
  • Seniors: for ages 60+ and and on trails with minimal elevation change

(Open To All) Padilla Bay Shore Trail - South

Padilla Bay Shore Trail – South

  • Date/Time: Friday, September 25th, 4 PM Start time
  • Hike Duration: This hike is roughly 4.4 miles round trip, which will roughly take 2 hours. 
  • Location: We will meet at the south trailhead parking lot.
  • Trail Description: This hike is located at the edge of the Skagit River Delta. The trail is mostly gravel but can vary depending on tide. Please note that there is limited parking and carpooling is suggested. Please bring close-toed shoes as the terrain will vary depending on weather conditions.

(Seniors Session) Port of Skagit Nature Trails

Port of Skagit Nature Trails

  • Date/Time: Friday, September 18th, 2 PM Start time
  • Hike Duration: This hike is a little over 3 miles, which will roughly take an hour and a half.
  • Location: We will meet at the trail parking lot.
  • Trail Description: This hike is mostly made up of all gravel trails, located near the Skagit Regional Airport. Please bring close-toed shoes as there will be loose gravel, there are often large puddles on this trail after rainfall.
